Barrier Free Advisors

Barrier Free Advisors (BFA's) are independent contractors who are accessibility experts.

If you would like further information on the accessibility of a new or existing public building, please contact a BFA in your area.

Services that a BFA may provide:

• Advice on the accessibility of buildings and plans
  
• Design solutions for compliance and best practice
• Accessibility audits
• Written reports
• Onsite consultations
• Information on accessibility requirements in NZ building legislation and guidelines
• Assist applications for determinations to the Department of Building and Housing
• Presentations on "Access"

Remember – providing access for people with disabilities to and within a public building is a legal requirement – approaching a BFA may safe you time and money in the long run!
